Blood testing is one of the most critical links in ensuring the safety of clinical blood use. Currently, China continues to strengthen the quality control of blood screening and testing at blood stations, and the level of blood quality and safety has been continuously improved. To further enhance the construction of the quality system at blood stations and ensure blood quality safety and the rights and interests of blood donors, the National Health Commission stipulates in the newly issued "Technical Operating Procedures for Blood Stations" that blood samples for testing should be collected simultaneously during blood collection. The testing samples should meet the testing requirements and undergo alanine aminotransferase (ALT) testing, blood type testing, serological and nucleic acid testing for transfusion-related infectious disease markers, as well as local and time-limited transfusion-related infectious disease marker testing specified by national and provincial health administrative departments. This includes ELISA or CLIA tests for serological antibody or antigen detection, NAT tests for HBV/HCV/HIV DNA or RNA detection, and ALT enzyme tests.
